Fortelock XL ESD

Large-format ESD flooring for the rapid refurbishment of large areas – 2.5 tiles per m² with the same certified protection as the standard ESD range.

Fortelock XL ESD is a large-format electrostatic conductive floor covering designed for the safe dissipation of electrostatic charge and rapid refurbishment of surfaces. Thanks to its dimensions of 653 × 653 mm, only 2.5 tiles are required per square metre, making installation significantly faster, with a minimum of joints and the option to proceed in sections. Furthermore, the unique snakeskin pattern maintains a professional appearance and helps to conceal minor dirt.

Unlike conventional solutions, which often specify only ‘floor conductivity’, Fortelock XL ESD guarantees the functionality of the entire person–footwear–floor system. In tests according to EN 61340-4-5, it has a certified person-footwear-floor resistance of < 10⁹ Ω and a body voltage when walking of < 100 V, which effectively protects sensitive electronic components even in demanding EPA zones.

Large-format electrostatic conductive flooring for maximum safety

A special homogeneous flooring designed for areas where visual continuity is paramount and where sensitive electrical components need to be protected against static discharge. Thanks to its large format and concealed locking system, the flooring creates a seamless surface with minimal joints, which, when combined with an earthing system, ensures a safe working environment.

The tiles are made from homogeneous 100% PVC and are 4 mm thick. Conductivity is ensured by stainless steel conductive fibres embedded directly into the material, meaning the floor relies on a stable conductive path throughout the entire thickness of the tile and maintains its performance over the long term, even under normal use

Thanks to its exceptionally fast installation, Fortelock XL ESD is the ideal solution for medium-traffic areas with level subfloors: electronic component manufacturing facilities, explosion-hazard areas, laboratories, server rooms, telephone exchanges, and the automotive and pharmaceutical industries.

In the event of mechanical damage to a single section, the interlocking system allows only the specific tile to be removed and replaced, without the need to repair the entire surface. The material exhibits above-average resistance to chemicals, oils and lubricants commonly used in industrial environments.
