Memory of the Nation
It is a large collection of memories of survivors, built up across Europe by individuals, non-profit organisations, educational and training institutions, state and donor institutions, who want to share, compare, evaluate and discuss their recordings, texts, photographs and archival documents together. Preserving and making accessible collections of memories of witnesses helps to explore modern history. The creation of the collection was motivated by the need to find a platform that would allow individual research outputs to be stored, shared and compared in digital form. Take a look back and read the stories from the Memory of a Nation.

We're helping to restore the planet
Adam Milata, CEO and owner of Fortemix , says that the goal of business is not just profit, but above all active responsibility towards society and the planet.
And we confirm that this is not just words by working with the Eden reforestation project. This has set itself the goal of restoring forests in various parts of the world. It is currently active in eight countries and has already planted almost 600 million trees. At the same time, they hire local people living in poor communities to work for them, giving them the opportunity to earn a decent living. This creates a perfect cycle to help not only nature but also the people of the country. More information can be found at https://edenprojects.org/
And how does tree planting relate to the flooring that is being produced near Ostrava? Fortemix has committed to donating an amount per seedling (tree) for every 1m2 of tiles produced. The owner of the company has chosen an area in Nepal. This will create a new forested area with almost 750,000 new trees. As a result, dozens of people will find work, which is not easy in these parts.
This story shows that if you have the desire, the vision and, above all, the heart, you can take part in the restoration of our planet and help the inhabitants of poor areas from anywhere.
