Here's how Fortelock compares

Epoxide needs time. Fortelock is ready immediately
Epoxy flooring can dry for 3 to 7 days. With Fortelock, you're done in 3 to 4 hours.

Where ceramics crack, Fortelock holds
Fortelock can withstand strong impacts, dropped tools or heavy objects. These impacts and falls would have broken the ceramic long ago.

You glue the vinyl. Fortelock clicks into place
Unlike bonded vinyl, Fortelock requires no complex substrate preparation or chemicals.

A level ground? Not a requirement
Unlike ceramic tiles, vinyl flooring or epoxy coatings, Fortelock does not require a perfectly flat substrate.

Real answers from real traffic
Yes. The floor is designed to withstand both high point loads and dynamic loads. It can easily cope with the daily use of pallet trucks and forklift trucks, provided the correct type of tile is used and the maximum load-bearing capacities are observed.
No problem. The surface is highly resistant to oils, petrol and common chemicals. Liquids do not soak into the material, but we recommend wiping them up or washing the floor as soon as possible. No stains or warping occur.
No. The floor does not require a perfectly level subfloor, unlike epoxy or bonded floor coverings. The subfloor should be solid and stable, but the tiles will easily compensate for minor unevenness.
No. The installation can be carried out in stages and even whilst operations are ongoing. There is no need to clear the entire area or plan for a lengthy production or warehouse shutdown.
Simply replace the damaged section. There is no need to dismantle the entire floor or suspend operations for a long period. Replacement is quick and can be carried out in a specific area.
Myths that don't apply
The most common misconceptions about PVC flooring
Plastic flooring is always soft and unstable
Fortelock is designed for demanding conditions. It’s in a completely different league to standard plastic for hobby use.
PVC flooring can easily be damaged or crack
Fortelock paving blocks have a high point and surface load-bearing capacity (up to 6,600 kg) and, thanks to their modular system, can withstand repeated loads.
PVC is only suitable for domestic use
Today’s PVC flooring is commonly used in industrial settings, warehouses, workshops and commercial premises subject to heavy wear and tear.
PVC flooring doesn’t last very long
Provided the right type is chosen and it is properly maintained, PVC flooring can last for decades.
If the PVC is damaged, the entire floor must be replaced
With modular PVC systems, a damaged section can be easily replaced without affecting the surrounding area.
PVC flooring is high-maintenance
On the contrary. PVC flooring is one of the least demanding solutions in terms of maintenance and day-to-day use.
