Basement of Komerční banka, Czech Republic

Heavy loads and constant damp in the premises were the main reasons that led to the refurbishment of the floor in the basement of Komerční banka. Fortelock Industry interlocking PVC floor tiles became the solution. The tile type chosen for the highest loads allowed not only safe and easy movement of heavy coin trolleys, the system of drainage channels also helped ventilate the floors. The tiles also provided noise reduction and improved the look of the whole space.

The client says

"We had a problem with the floor in the basement, where the coin counting room is and where trolleys are used to transport coins. This means a heavy load of up to 600 kg per trolley, and they pass through the space several times a day. Another problem was the permanent damp in this space. We looked into the options, ceramic tiles and linoleum, nothing was suitable. We heard about Fortelock from the designer with whom we were preparing the floor repair in the coin counting room. After a year of use there are no visible changes to the Fortelock tiles and maintenance is simple. We are very satisfied with the floor."
