We recycle
We have been protecting the environment for many years. Last year was no exception. We managed to increase the amount of recycled plastic by more than half compared to the previous year, reaching a record total of over 3,000,000 kg of plastic waste.
As a result, plastics do not end up unnecessarily in landfills or incinerators, but are used to manufacture our eco-friendly products from the Fortelock Industry, XL and Invisible ranges. These recycled tiles are technically sophisticated and patented products that allow floors to be renovated without demolition. They are available under the ECO label in a variety of colours and are competitively priced.
Benefits for nature and customers
We are delighted that our production helps to protect the environment, thereby preserving it for future generations. By recycling 3,000,000 kg of plastic, we also save 5,496,000 kg of CO2, which is equivalent to the emissions of around 1,000 cars*, and on top of that we save 725,000,000 litres of water**.
Our customers also play a part in protecting the environment alongside us. By renovating their floors with our tiles, they reduce emissions by up to 80% compared to a new concrete floor. What’s more, all our tiles are recyclable. If any rejects occur during production, we crush them again in our crushers and process them further, ensuring that production generates a minimum of waste and emissions.
*Calculated based on emissions of 2.1 kg CO₂ eq./kg of primary plastic saved, after deducting recycling and processing emissions of 0.268 kg CO₂ eq./kg
**Calculated based on water consumption during the production of virgin plastic (242 l/kg), after deducting emissions from recycling and processing (0.268 kg CO₂ eq./kg)
We do not overlook the importance of nature
We adopt an environmentally friendly approach not only in the production of our tiles, but our entire factory is built from reused materials. We applied the same principle to the construction of our new office building, which has thus become a unique structure in more ways than just its architecture.
