Tradition, Czech Republic

For the renovation of the roof of a detached house in Hradec nad Moravicí, Fortega Tradition roofing was chosen. This option was selected primarily for its appearance, which faithfully replicates traditional Czech slate tiles, thereby preserving the classic character of the building in this mountainous region.

The main argument in favour of Fortega Tradition was its extremely low weight (approx. 6 kg/m²), which places minimal load on the older roof structure. As the roofing served as a direct replacement for the original asbestos cement, it was possible to install it directly onto the battens, which significantly simplified and sped up the entire installation process. Thanks to the unique DRS (Dynamic Ribs System) construction, the tiles are very rigid and strong, so they reliably withstand harsh weather conditions.

Homeowners particularly praise the excellent acoustic comfort; the plastic and aluminium-based composite material effectively dampens the sound of rain and hail, which is essential in a residential loft. With an estimated lifespan of over 50 years and a 22-year warranty, Fortega Tradition represents an affordable and durable solution for both modern and historic buildings
