For the renovation of a detached house in Rýmařov, the large-format composite roofing material Fortega Neo was chosen. This modern roofing material was selected primarily for its extreme durability in the harsh climatic conditions typical of this mountainous region, whether it be sharp temperature fluctuations, strong winds or heavy snow loads. During the renovation, a ventilated ridge was installed to ensure effective ventilation of the roof cladding, and insulation was also fitted.
A key factor in choosing Fortega Neo was its very low weight (approx. 6.6 kg/m²), which places minimal load on the existing roof structure during renovation and, in most cases, does not require costly reinforcement. Thanks to the RapidTOP interlocking system and the large panel format, installation was carried out very quickly and accurately, which significantly reduced the time during which the roof structure was exposed to adverse weather conditions.
The owners particularly appreciate the excellent acoustic properties, with the roofing effectively dampening the sound of rain and hail, as well as its long service life exceeding 50 years, which the manufacturer underlines with an above-standard 25-year warranty.
