Fortelock ESD

Certified ESD flooring with a guaranteed system resistance of < 10⁹ Ω – not just a conductive surface, but proven protection for the entire person–footwear–floor system.

Fortelock ESD is a conductive floor covering designed to safely dissipate electrostatic charge. It is intended for areas where measurable parameters and long-term stability are crucial. Thanks to its unique properties, it can effectively reduce the risk of electrostatic charge build-up. Unlike standard floors, which specify certain conductivity values, Fortelock ESD guarantees the functionality of the entire system: person – footwear – floor. In tests conducted in accordance with EN 61340-4-5, Fortelock ESD has a certified person–footwear–floor resistance of < 10⁹ Ω and a body voltage when walking of < 100 V. This helps to effectively protect sensitive electronic components, not only in demanding EPA zones.

Electrostatic-conductive flooring for maximum safety and functionality

Fortelock ESD is designed as a durable flooring solution for real-world use – offering high mechanical resistance to damage caused by handling equipment and point loads.

Conductivity isn’t just ‘on the surface’: the tile is 7 mm thick and is homogeneous throughout, with stainless steel conductive fibres embedded directly within the material ensuring its conductive properties. As a result, the floor retains its conductive properties throughout its entire lifespan, even with long-term use and normal wear and tear.

It is suitable for facilities where an ESD-conductive floor is required – typically in the manufacture of electrical components, the automotive industry, laboratories, data centres, electrical substations, the pharmaceutical industry and other specialised areas, including explosion-risk zones.

Excellent electrostatic conductivity and safety

Fortelock ESD provides electrostatic conductivity that has been proven in practice – across the entire person–footwear–floor system. In tests conducted in accordance with EN 61340-4-5, the system achieves a resistance of < 10⁹ Ω and, at the same time, a body voltage of < 100 V whilst walking, meaning that static charge is reliably dissipated even during normal movement. The result is greater safety for sensitive electronic components and more stable conditions in ESD-protected areas. Furthermore, conductivity is designed as a functional property of the floor, not just a ‘paper parameter’ – which is why it can be relied upon in the long term.

A durable, homogeneous formulation

The tiles are manufactured as homogeneous products, meaning they have the same composition and finish throughout their entire thickness, so that the wear layer corresponds to the full thickness of the flooring. Despite their electrostatic properties, the tiles retain exceptional mechanical compressive strength. The material is also highly resistant to wear, abrasion and exposure to common chemicals.

Quick installation and easy maintenance

The Fortelock locking system allows for rapid installation without the need to halt operations, even on existing floors. Floor maintenance is highly efficient thanks to the special ESD Floor Cleaner concentrate, which has been developed specifically for conductive floors and is excellent at binding dirt. This product prevents the formation of grey haze and ensures that the cleaned surface remains hygienically clean and streak-free. Another major advantage is the ability to remove and replace a single damaged tile at any time, which significantly simplifies floor maintenance.

Long service life and certified quality

We offer an extended warranty of up to 12 years on these tiles. The product is fully certified in accordance with strict European standards. The entire system is manufactured in the Czech Republic, ensuring rigorous quality control and compliance with European environmental standards.
