The production of Fortelock tiles from A to Z

Are you curious how Fortelock flooring — which you may already have in your garage or workplace — is made? All production takes place exclusively in the Czech Republic, at the headquarters of Fortemix s. r. o. in Paskov.

The tiles are made from plastic granulate, which changes from a solid to a liquid state after heat treatment. At a temperature of 180 C° the compound is fed by an injection machine into the mould, where it takes the shape of a tile. Once the tile has been formed, the product is cooled so that it can be removed from the mould by an automatic manipulator and placed on a conveyor belt to cool completely.

Properties of the PVC material

The PVC material from which the tiles are made is chemically resistant to acids, salts, alkalis, fats and alcohols. Thanks to the high-quality material and careful manufacturing, the floor is durable and safe for a wide range of production plants, buildings and warehouses, as well as homes, offices and school premises.

Ecology

Fortelock flooring is 100 % recyclable. Production generates a minimum of waste and emissions. 50 % of tile production comes from recycled production rejects, which are crushed in our own crushers, and from purchased waste. Thanks to our own recycling, defective products never leave the factory and are soon back in the production process.
