PVC Garage Tiles – Best-Selling Product of 2022
Today we would like to share information about our best-selling and most popular PVC garage flooring for 2022.
The best-selling PVC garage flooring for 2022 is Fortelock Industry ECO Grey in the leather pattern. ECO tiles are popular thanks to their properties and attractive price.
PVC flooring made from recycled material is an eco-friendly solution, and its production protects the environment. It is made from high-quality recycled material and meets safety and durability standards to a similar extent as flooring produced from new raw materials.
Recycled PVC material is made from post-consumer waste or from industrial waste from PVC production. Otherwise, these materials end up in landfills or are incinerated, which has a negative impact on the environment.
Producing PVC flooring from recycled material also reduces the consumption of new raw materials and energy resources needed to manufacture flooring from new raw materials, which can have a positive effect on the environment.
PVC garage flooring
Fortelock PVC flooring is resistant to short-term exposure to oils and other liquids commonly used in a garage. The tiles are easy to install and have excellent anti-slip properties, making them an ideal choice for a garage floor.
If you too are considering new garage flooring and thinking about PVC tiles, watch the video showing how easily the floor is installed, or use our visualiser to see for yourself how the tiles would look in your interior. ECO or virgin PVC?
The ECO Classic versions are made from 98% recycled PVC and have the same parameter table as tiles made from virgin PVC. Recycled material can also expand more, so make sure to glue it down in spots with direct sunlight or a heat source. ECO tiles are not recommended for loading with electric trucks with a total weight of over 2,500 kg – for such use, choose Industry or Industry Ultra made from virgin PVC.
Frequently asked questions
Why is Industry ECO Grey so popular for garages?
According to the manufacturer, Fortelock Industry ECO Grey with a leather texture was the best-selling garage flooring in 2022. It combines a grey colour with the robust 7 mm thick Industry tile with a visible lock. It is made from 98% recycled PVC, so its colour is not completely uniform.
Can ECO flooring in a garage withstand oil?
Fortelock PVC flooring resists short-term exposure to oils and other liquids commonly found in a garage, and liquids do not soak into the material. However, oil and petrol must be wiped up as soon as possible, because prolonged exposure to petroleum-based substances can cause discolouration and deformation of the tiles.
Do ECO tiles have to be glued in a garage?
Loose laying is sufficient, but in spots with direct sunlight or a heat source, for example under the catalytic converter of a parked car, the tiles are glued down. This is all the more important with recycled material, as it can expand more with heat than virgin PVC. Also remember to leave a 10 mm expansion gap at the walls.
Can I see an ECO tile first?
Yes, order an 8 × 8 cm sample. In the form you choose the colour and type of tile, including the ECO version. If the parcel has not arrived within 10 days of ordering, contact our customer helpline. You will find the form on the tile sample page.
Are Fortelock tiles recyclable?
Yes, the products are labelled as 100% recyclable. At the end of their service life, you can hand them in through the take-back scheme, which accepts all types of Fortelock tiles regardless of wear. Fortemix recycles them and reuses the material, but it does not accept tiles from other brands.
