Industry or Industry Ultra?
The deciding factors are mainly the type of wheels and the weight of the trucks including the load. When loose-laid, the 7 mm thick Industry can carry a pallet truck with PU wheels of up to 500 kg, an electric pallet truck of up to 700 kg and vehicles with pneumatic tyres of 4,300 to 6,600 kg depending on the type. The 10 mm thick Industry Ultra can handle a pallet truck of up to 1,300 kg, an electric pallet truck of up to 1,700 kg, an electric forklift with PU wheels of up to 2,900 kg and an electric reach truck with rubber wheels of up to 5,100 kg. Where racking stands on the floor, the tiles are glued or mechanically secured. Before deciding, we recommend testing the tiles with your own trucks.

Frequently asked questions
Can a PVC warehouse floor carry a hand pallet truck?
Yes. When loose-laid, Industry can carry a pallet truck with PU wheels of up to 500 kg and Industry Ultra up to 1,300 kg, always including the weight of the truck and the load. Once glued or fixed, 1,300 kg applies to both ranges. Avoid turning the wheels on the spot and braking or accelerating sharply.
Can the tiles be laid on a cracked concrete warehouse floor?
Often, yes. According to the technical data sheet, cracks of up to 4 mm do not need to be repaired, while wider ones must be filled. Raised areas of more than 7 mm over 2 m must be ground down. How quickly can a warehouse floor be laid?
The website states an installation rate of up to 30 m² per hour. The tiles click together without glue or drying time, so the finished section can be used straight away and the warehouse does not have to stop operating. For areas over 100 m², a grid of perpendicular lines is marked out first so that the rows run straight.
How is a damaged tile in a warehouse repaired?
The damaged tile is removed and replaced with a new one, even in the middle of the floor, without dismantling the whole floor and without a lengthy shutdown. According to the manufacturer, the replacement takes a few minutes. It is worth keeping a few tiles in reserve, as the colour may vary slightly between production batches.
How is a PVC warehouse floor cleaned?
In warehouses, daily cleaning with Forteclean Daily Cleaner is recommended, plus deep cleaning with Forteclean Intense Cleaner twice a year. Machine cleaning can also be used; with rotary machines, choose soft brushes. Do not use abrasive pads or solvents, as they damage resilient floor coverings.
Will a PVC floor hold up in an unheated warehouse?
A loose-laid floor can be used at air temperatures of +15 to +27 °C; with a wider temperature range, the tiles are glued with PU adhesive. The installation itself requires a substrate temperature of at least 15 °C. If the floor is to be used at temperatures below 0 °C, the solution must be discussed with the Fortemix sales department.
