A new office building in the spirit of sustainability

We are the successful family business Fortemix, which recently celebrated its thirtieth anniversary. And as we are growing fast and constantly taking on new colleagues, a new and larger office building had become a necessity.

The new office building took shape over the past 24 months on the site of our manufacturing company Fortemix. And because our company has long been committed to sustainability, our building too is made largely from recycled materials, including the carpets laid in the corridors and offices. We also recycled 10 tonnes of iron purchased as scrap. We coated the iron and incorporated it into the building's steel structure. Another recycled material is used pallets, which are mounted on the façade, as well as the insulation of the building's rear wall made from previously used sandwich panels. Inside the building you will find offices, a reception, a spacious kitchen that also serves as a dining room, meeting and conference rooms and, of course, toilets, including wheelchair-accessible ones.

The office building was designed by Projekt studio from Ostrava, which entered it into the Building of the Year competition.
