1) Epoxy resin

Epoxy resin is one of the most widely used floors among garage and industrial flooring, because it is applied directly onto new or refurbished concrete. Long-term exposure to acids and oils can change the colour of the resin and create very visible and irreparable stains. This type of floor also suffers from moisture, is not impact-resistant, and a dropped hammer or other tool will often cause a crack that gradually starts to grow larger over time.

2) Concrete floor

Concrete floors are a classic among flooring. However, concrete is notorious for being difficult to clean, for the dust created as its surface breaks down, and for staining. Oil and acid stains are a major problem, as they cannot be removed.

3) Ceramic tiles

Ceramic tiles are also popular, but when it comes to repairs they are certainly the worst solution. Ceramic is hard and absorbs any impact or drop of heavy objects, which then results in cracks. Any structural failure in the floor results in the ceramic breaking. In addition, the installation and repair costs are truly high.

Cleaning and maintaining a Fortelock PVC floor

You can clean a Fortelock floor simply by mopping it with water and a standard detergent. The floor shows above-average resistance to weak acids, diluted acids, alkalis, soaps and solvents. Diesel and strong acids do not harm the floor, provided the spill in question is rinsed off immediately.
