Trees for Javorník

The Moravian-Silesian Region and Biskupské lesy have once again set themselves the aim of raising public awareness of the importance and challenges of foresters’ work, and of highlighting the significance of forests for us all. Following the success of tree-planting initiatives in previous years, they have decided to organise another ‘Trees for Javorník’ event, thereby reaching out to the wider public.

This initiative has been running since 2021 in the Ondřejník and Velký Javorník areas and is an example of a successful environmental initiative. Thanks to more than 20,000 trees planted, the ecological stability of the local forests is being strengthened and the region’s natural biodiversity supported.

This year, we had the opportunity to support the event once again as a partner, but also in person. So we rolled up our sleeves and did our bit to help restore the forests in this area, which has been severely affected by a bark beetle infestation for several years now.

We’d like to thank the organisers and our colleagues at Fortemix for the great atmosphere and a wonderful time, and we look forward to future editions.
