We Support Education

The educational programme Jeden svět na školách (an educational programme run by Člověk v tísni) has since 2001 been helping to raise responsible young people who find their way in today's world, approach information openly and critically, are not indifferent, and who want to influence what happens around them and truly do so.

Through films, discussions and teaching activities, it brings important topics and real-life stories into schools. It addresses human rights, modern Czechoslovak history, media literacy and many other subjects.

On the JSNS.CZ portal it provides teachers with audiovisual lessons free of charge and legally, offering documentary films and teaching materials that respond to what is happening in society and to current challenges both at home and abroad. They are used by teachers and pupils at more than 3,600 primary and secondary schools. Particular emphasis is placed on the practical usability of the materials, which is why they are all created in cooperation with teachers.
