We supported Dlaň životu

As part of the autumn charity project FORTEGRANT, which focuses on helping organisations within our region, our employees selected and then, together with the owner of the company Fortemix supported the public benefit organisation Dlaň životu. The organisation's aim is to offer help to pregnant women in difficult situations and to parents with young children.

Dlaň životu offers preventive support and, when needed, help in difficult situations, mainly to pregnant women, partners and parents with children up to four years of age. This support takes the form of activities, counselling and education, focusing in particular on the period of pregnancy, childbirth and the care of infants. In the belief that everyone has the right to life and that human life is worthy of protection even before birth, the organisation's mission is to offer help and accommodation to those mothers for whom accepting a conceived life has become so complicated that they are considering ending it.

As part of the aforementioned public benefit services, the organisation provides the social service of a shelter home for pregnant mothers in distress, along with other family support services. The house is located in a quiet spot amid beautiful countryside on the edge of the Vysočina region. Two rooms with a separate entrance are available to accommodate guests. The proceeds from supplementary activities are used to support the running of the shelter home.

How can you support pregnant mothers and the Dlaň životu organisation?

• Material assistance – donating clothing and supplies for children up to six months of age, prams
• Volunteering – in Ostrava you can get involved in making decorative items together
• You can make use of holiday accommodation in the house in Hamry u Hlinska.
